Beam Emitter
Description
Fires a sustained high-damage laser beam that cuts through everything in its path. One of the most powerful combat devices in TotK — it deals continuous damage every frame it contacts an enemy. A vehicle-mounted Beam Emitter can clear an entire enemy camp while you drive through without dismounting. The beam pierces multiple enemies in a line, making it exceptional against groups. High energy drain makes Big Batteries essential companions for extended Beam Emitter usage. Found in rare Capsule Dispenser drops and advanced Zonai ruin chests on higher Sky Island areas.
Best Uses
Anti-boss sustained DPS: mount on a platform and drive circles around bosses for continuous beam damage
Rotating beam trap: mount on a Rotating Platform for an auto-targeting 360-degree death spin
Vehicle-mounted mobile laser turret for camp clearing without dismounting
Anti-Lynel long-range attack platform from safe distance
Mirror-bounce setups: reflect the beam with Mirrors to hit targets around corners
Beam Emitter battle wagon: the most efficient damage-per-energy-cost vehicle combat setup
Pro Tips
*
Mount on a Rotating Platform for an automatic spinning death beam that clears entire camps without aiming.
*
Beam Emitters drain energy very fast — attach one or two Big Batteries for sustained operation.
*
The beam pierces through multiple enemies in a line — position to maximize how many enemies it hits simultaneously.
*
Synergy with Mirrors: place a Mirror at an angle to bounce the Beam Emitter's laser around corners for hidden target hits.
*
Advanced: two Beam Emitters mounted 180 degrees apart on a Rotating Platform create a double-rotating death beam.
*
Combat tip: even a briefly passing beam deals significant damage — drive a Beam Emitter vehicle in arcs around bosses.
*
Gotcha: the beam also damages Link. Keep your distance from the active Beam Emitter when it is firing.
