Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Jiosin Shrine in Central Hyrule.
- The theme is Shape Rotation — precision Ultrahand manipulation to rotate an L-shaped block through three differently shaped doorways.
- The L-block is large (about 3 meters long on each arm) and heavy, requiring careful, deliberate rotations.
- Step 2: Approach Door 1, which is a tall narrow rectangle (approximately 1 meter wide and 3.5 meters tall).
- Grab the L-block with Ultrahand and rotate it so the long arm of the L points straight up vertically, with the short arm extending horizontally at the bottom.
- In this orientation, the block's profile is narrow enough to slide through the tall doorway.
- Push it through slowly — if any corner clips the doorframe, the block jams and bounces back.
- Step 3: In the corridor between Door 1 and Door 2, pause to check the left wall alcove.
- A chest containing a Ruby (worth 210 rupees) is tucked into a niche at waist height.
- Collect it before proceeding.
- Step 4: Door 2 is wide and flat (approximately 3.5 meters wide but only 1.5 meters tall).
- Rotate the L-block 90 degrees from its previous orientation so the long arm extends horizontally and the short arm points sideways.
- The block's profile is now wide but low, fitting through the squat doorway.
- Slide it through with even pressure — rushing causes the block to tilt and clip the top of the doorframe.
- Step 5: Door 3 is the hardest — a diagonal slot cut at roughly 45 degrees through the wall.
- Neither the vertical nor horizontal orientations will work here.
- Tilt the L-block exactly 45 degrees using Ultrahand's rotation controls.
- The long arm should point to the upper-right and the short arm to the lower-left (or vice versa).
- Ease the block through the diagonal slot with tiny forward nudges.
- The tolerance is tight — misalignment of more than 10 degrees causes the block to jam.
- If it jams, pull it back, adjust the angle slightly, and try again.
- Step 6: Once through Door 3, the altar room opens up.
- Walk to the altar and claim the Light of Blessing.
- Abilities needed: Ultrahand is the only ability required, but mastery of its rotation controls is essential.
- Pro tip: Ultrahand rotation has two axes — tilt left-right and rotate clockwise-counterclockwise.
- For Door 3's diagonal slot, you need to use the tilt axis (not the rotation axis) to achieve the 45-degree angle.
- Many players confuse the two and spend minutes rotating on the wrong axis.
