Spring

Movement
Single use (consumed)

Description

A coiled mechanical spring device that launches anything placed on it skyward when compressed and released. Provides instant vertical thrust — not as powerful as a Rocket but reusable until the energy is expended. Fused to weapons, it creates a weapon with massive knockback that sends enemies flying off cliffs and ledges. One of the most energy-efficient altitude-gain devices when a slow ascent is acceptable. Found in Capsule Dispensers and Zonai ruin chests throughout Sky Islands.

Best Uses

1

Instant vertical launch pad for altitude gain without wasting a Rocket

2

Spring weapon (fuse to any melee weapon) for massive knockback that sends enemies off cliffs

3

Chained spring courses: place multiple springs in a line for extended bouncing traversal

4

Shrine puzzle solutions requiring vertical object movement or precise launching

5

Cheap altitude-gain alternative when Rockets are depleted but Zonaite charges remain

6

Launching heavy platform payloads upward for vertical cargo transport

Pro Tips

*

Fuse a Spring to a weapon for massive knockback — enemies hit near cliff edges get launched off instantly.

*

Place a spring flat on the ground and stand on it. Drop onto it from a small height to trigger a launch.

*

Springs can be chained — place three in a row for a bouncing parkour course across wide gaps.

*

Recall a Spring after it fires to reset it for a second launch — great for slow shrine puzzle iteration.

*

Synergy: Spring under a Balloon gives extra initial lift when first activating the balloon vehicle.

*

Hidden use: a Spring attached to the bottom of an enemy-carrying device can "juggle" enemies in place during combat.
