Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Duhhara Shrine in the Hebra region.
- This is a four-room sequential puzzle that combines ice physics with Ultrahand and other abilities.
- The rooms increase in complexity, and each must be solved to unlock the next.
- Step 2 — Room 1: A large ice slab blocks a stone ramp that leads to the exit door.
- Use a Fire Fruit (or fire arrow) to melt the ice slab — it dissolves in about 4 seconds.
- Once the ramp is clear, use Ultrahand to grab the ramp (it is a movable stone plank, not fixed) and tilt it so the high end rests against the exit doorway ledge, creating a walkable bridge.
- Walk up the ramp-bridge and through the door.
- Step 3 — Room 2: An ice pendulum swings back and forth across a narrow corridor, blocking passage.
- Timing a run past it is nearly impossible due to its wide arc.
- Instead, activate Recall on the pendulum — this reverses its swing direction and freezes it mid-arc for approximately 6 seconds.
- Sprint past during this window.
- On the far side, a chest in a wall niche contains a Frostblade (15 attack power plus ice damage) — grab it before proceeding.
- Step 4 — Room 3: A massive ice cube sits near a pressure plate that controls the exit gate.
- Use Ultrahand to push the ice cube onto the plate — it activates the plate and the gate begins opening.
- However, the room is warm enough that the ice melts slowly.
- You have approximately 12 seconds before the cube shrinks too small to hold the plate down, so sprint through the gate immediately after placement.
- Do not hesitate — the gate slams shut when the ice melts.
- Step 5 — Room 4: Two metal crates and a thin ceiling section are the key elements.
- Stack the two metal crates using Ultrahand — place the first crate against the back wall, then stack the second directly on top.
- Climb onto the stacked crates and look up to identify the thin ceiling section (lighter colored stone).
- Activate Ascend to phase through the thin ceiling and emerge on the upper level where the altar awaits.
- Abilities needed: Ultrahand (Rooms 1, 3, 4), Recall (Room 2), Ascend (Room 4).
- Pro tip: In Room 3, you can extend the ice cube survival time by attaching a second small ice block (found in the corner) to the main cube with Ultrahand before pushing it onto the plate — the combined mass takes longer to melt, giving you nearly 20 seconds instead of 12.
