Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower

Hebra
Hard
-2858, 2711, 549

The northernmost Skyview Tower in all of Hyrule, perched in the frozen Pikida Stonegrove of far northern Hebra at 549 meters. Map region unlocked: The northernmost Hebra snowfields including the Pikida Stonegrove, the far northwest Hebra Sky Island chain, and the northern map boundary. This tower reveals the most remote and least-visited portion of the entire Hyrule map. The Pikida Stonegrove is a zone of enormous ancient stone megaliths (hence 'stonegrove') half-buried in centuries of permafrost and accumulated ice. The megaliths create natural wind breaks that give the area a slightly more sheltered microclimate than the open Hebra snowfield — Frost Pebbits and Ice-Breath Lizalfos shelter between the standing stones in the protected alcoves. Rare cold-climate items exclusive to this altitude — Icy Lizalfos Tail and Frostbite Cricket — are found here and essentially nowhere else in Hyrule. The tower provides excellent visual coverage of the far northwest Hebra Sky Island cluster, which contains some of the game's most challenging Zonai Construct enemies and the most valuable Zonai device dispensers outside the Great Sky Island. Few players ever visit Pikida Stonegrove voluntarily on a first playthrough, giving this tower a genuinely remote, frontier atmosphere. The stone megaliths themselves bear carved Zonai symbols matching architecture from the Sky Islands overhead.

Activation Puzzle Walkthrough

1

The Obstacle

The tower is located at extreme altitude (549 meters) in the far northern Hebra Mountains — a sustained level 2 cold zone subject to heavy blizzard conditions throughout the day. No terminal puzzle exists, but reaching the tower is a multi-stage survival challenge. The journey requires crossing blizzard-swept ridgelines with minimal visibility, ascending multiple sheer icy cliff faces that fully drain stamina, and maintaining cold protection continuously across the entire approach.

2

The Solution

Equip the full Snowquill Armor set — ideally upgraded to level 2 at a Great Fairy Fountain for guaranteed cold immunity — or cook maximum-strength cold-resist meals (Spicy Pepper + Spicy Pepper + Raw Meat for a 12:30-duration cold-resist buff). Approach from the east along the high Hebra ridge coming from the Hebra East Summit direction — this eastern ridge approach avoids the worst blizzard corridors and has the most stable footing with the most gradual gradient. Bring five or more stamina-recovery meals for the extended multi-cliff ascent — multiple vertical rock faces require consecutive climbing stamina bars without rest ledges. A Zonai rocket attached to a shield or a fan-powered device build can significantly reduce climbing time if you have the devices available. The terminal activates immediately on contact once you reach the tower summit area. Map region unlocked: Far northern Hebra including the Pikida snowfields, the northernmost map edge, and the far northwest Hebra Sky Island chain.

Tips

Full Snowquill Armor — all three pieces from Rito Village — is the baseline minimum for this journey. Consider upgrading all three pieces to level 2 at a Great Fairy for true cold immunity against blizzard conditions.

Cook Spicy Pepper + Spicy Pepper + Raw Meat for a maximum-duration 12:30 cold-resist meal — the double pepper is critical for extended cold-zone traversal in the Pikida blizzard conditions.

The eastern ridge approach from the Hebra East Summit direction avoids the worst blizzard corridors and has the most gradual elevation gain — do not approach from the west through the open snowfield.

Stamina food is essential: bring five or more Endura Carrot meals or equivalent — multiple consecutive cliff faces require full stamina bar restores without ledge rests.

Frost Pebbits (small ice lizard enemies) and Ice-Breath Lizalfos spawn between the megaliths — wear your best combat gear since your cold armor may not be your strongest defensive set.

After launching, glide northwest to survey the far northwest Sky Island cluster — visible as a white platform formation above the cloud layer, reachable by paraglider from survey altitude.

Rare Frostbite Crickets spawn on the rock surfaces near the megaliths at night — a unique elixir ingredient not found elsewhere in Hyrule and valuable for cold-resist elixir crafting.

The Pikida Stonegrove megaliths bear carved Zonai symbols matching those found on Sky Island structures — photograph them for the Hyrule Compendium and Zonai artifact research side quests.
