Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Satasata Shrine in the Faron region and survey the obstacle course.
- Four moving platforms cycle in different patterns over a deep pit — falling into the pit does not kill you but deposits you back at the entrance, forcing a full retry.
- Before attempting any jumps, stand at the entrance ledge and watch one complete cycle (about 20 seconds) to memorize all four platforms' movement patterns.
- Step 2: Platform 1 moves horizontally from left to right and pauses for 2 seconds at the right position (nearest to you) before sliding back left.
- The moment it pauses at its rightmost position, sprint to the edge and jump onto it.
- You have a comfortable 2-second window.
- Ride it to the left where it lines up with Platform 2's path.
- Step 3: Platform 2 moves diagonally — up-right to down-left — in a smooth sliding motion.
- It is never fully stationary, which makes timing the jump harder.
- Position yourself at Platform 1's left edge and wait for Platform 2 to reach the center of its diagonal path (the point closest to your position).
- Jump at this moment — the diagonal movement means you need to jump slightly ahead of Platform 2's current position to intercept it.
- Step 4: Platform 3 rotates continuously around a central pivot point, like a clock hand.
- The platform itself is long and narrow.
- Jump to the stationary anchor point at the center of the rotation — this central hub does not move even though the platform arm spins around it.
- Land on the hub and wait for the rotating arm to point toward Platform 4's path.
- Step 5: Platform 4 is the most challenging — it moves back and forth rapidly between two positions with only a 1-second pause at each end.
- Standard timing is nearly impossible.
- Use Recall on Platform 4 when it reaches the far position — this freezes it in place momentarily, giving you approximately 5 seconds of stationary time to jump from Platform 3's rotating arm to the frozen Platform 4 and then to the far ledge.
- Step 6: On the far ledge, check the far wall before heading to the altar.
- A treasure chest sits on a narrow shelf containing a Gloom Sword (30 attack power, deals gloom damage to enemies but also slowly reduces your maximum hearts while equipped — a powerful but risky weapon for advanced players).
- Step 7: Proceed to the altar and claim your Light of Blessing.
- Hidden chest: The Gloom Sword on the far wall shelf.
- Ability needed: Recall is required for Platform 4.
- Paraglider can save you from pit falls if deployed quickly enough.
- Pro tip: If you struggle with the timing, attach a Zonai Spring to your shield using Fuse — when you shield-jump from each platform, the spring gives extra height and distance, making each gap significantly more forgiving.
