Wind Temple
Overview
A colossal airborne temple suspended above the Hebra mountain range, locked in perpetual blizzard. Built by the ancient Zonai as a shrine to the wind, it was sealed when Colgera — an entity born from Ganondorf's Gloom — invaded and froze its mechanisms. Five wind turbines must be activated to unlock the inner sanctum. The temple is vertically oriented and rewards players who master updrafts and Tulin's Gust.
Walkthrough

LOCK 1 (Ground Floor): Enter the main hall. The first turbine is directly ahead — spin it with Tulin's Gust. This raises the central platform.

LOCK 2 (East Wing): Navigate to the east corridor. A horizontal turbine is blocked by icicles — use Fire Arrows to melt the ice, then hit it with Tulin's Gust.

LOCK 3 (Exterior Ledge): Exit through the north door onto the icy exterior ledge. Work your way around the perimeter to the upper wind corridor. Multiple updrafts carry you upward — open your paraglider and ride them, using Tulin's Gust to stay airborne in calm sections.

LOCK 4 (Gear Room): Enter the gear room on the west side. Use Recall on the large rotating gear to reverse its spin and ride it to the upper platform. Activate the turbine from above.

LOCK 5 (Top Floor): Climb to the top floor. A large ice slab blocks the final turbine. Use Fire Arrows or a fire weapon to melt the entire slab, then hit the turbine with Tulin's Gust. The inner sanctum opens below.

Recommended Gear
- Snowquill Armor (2+ pieces for cold resistance)
- Warm Doublet or cold-resistance food as backup
- Fire Arrows (20+ for melting ice blockages)
- Any strong bow — Colgera fight is almost entirely bow-based
- Stamina-restoring food (lots of vertical climbing)
Boss Tips — Colgera
- Colgera is an ice worm that descends through the arena in circles. You fight entirely while airborne — use the updrafts to stay in the air.
- Weak points are the three glowing ice patches on its underbelly. Hit them with arrows while in paraglider bullet time.
- When Colgera dives, dodge its ice spike barrage by moving laterally. The spikes track your position briefly before arcing forward.
- In Phase 2, Colgera moves faster and adds more ice spike attacks. Prioritize the lowest weak point each pass for maximum damage.
- Use Tulin's Gust to launch yourself into bullet time position above Colgera's flight path for clean shots.
- Ice Arrows deal no bonus damage to Colgera. Shock Arrows stun it briefly. Fire Arrows deal bonus damage and melt its ice armor in phase 2.
- The entire fight is ranged — you never need to touch Colgera. Strong bows with multi-shot capability (Forest Dweller's Bow, Savage Lynel Bow) make this trivial.
Lore
The Wind Temple is sacred to the Rito people, who believe their god of winds dwells at its peak. Ancient Zonai architecture suggests it once served as a climate regulation station for the Hebra region. When the Demon King's malice froze the turbines, the blizzard over Rito Village intensified to catastrophic levels, threatening the Rito way of life. Tulin — a young Rito warrior — accompanied Link up the Rising Island Chain to restore the temple and prove himself to his people.
Atmosphere
Biting cold, howling winds, and massive Zonai stonework coated in ice. Natural updraft columns rise through open sections of the temple. Ice crystals drift through corridors. The sense of altitude is constant — gaps in the walls reveal the frozen Hebra mountains far below. The blizzard outside flashes lightning and shakes the entire structure.
Sage Ability — Tulin's Gust
Tulin shoots a powerful burst of wind that propels Link forward and spins turbines. Activate by pressing the sage icon or calling Tulin while airborne. Essential for crossing wind corridors, spinning turbines to open locks, and launching from updraft positions. Can be used offensively to push enemies off ledges. Cooldown is short — spam freely.

- Ascend the Rising Island Chain from Rito Village with Tulin
- Cold resistance required — the ascent and temple interior are freezing

Exploration Notes
The Rising Island Chain leading to the temple contains several sky islands with Zonai device caches, Korok seeds, and a Sky Mine with free Zonaite. Explore before entering the temple. After completing the temple, the blizzard clears and Rito Village opens new shops and dialogue.
